It's been QUITE some time since I've posted anything whatsoever in here... Wowwie zowwie

Anyways! A lot has happened in my life since I've last posted.

I've gotten my half sleeve of the 10,000 Days Tool album faces mostly colored. One left, and he's on the very back of my arm and half in my armpit. D: That's going to hurt quite a bit... like the one on the underside of my arm didn't make me want to cry already. I've had to change my plans on only having it be around a five or six inch thick band around my arm instead of a full sleeve going from my shoulder to my elbow. It'll have a ton of detail, and that's why my artist and I chose to only have it be a thick band. I'm very pleased with how they're turning out so far. I just didn't expect the faces to be pink and purple! O.o; But it really stands out against my paste white skin. xD

The subject of this journal is mainly what I want to talk about. Recently, I've been thinking of dropping out of my degree I'm in right now. Yesterday, I actually put this plan into motion. I went and applied at an actually university here, and they said I would have no problem at all getting it! And that some of my credits from the Graphic Design program I'm in right now will transfer over and ease my work load. !!! I'm going to be getting my Bachlors of Fine Arts, to then turn into my Masters of Fine Arts somewhere down the road. I've decided to be a college art professor after all my schooling is done, and I'm super excited to actually get on that road. I've hated the Graphic Design program I've been in ever since two of the teachers left at the end of last semester and they brought in two f'ing morons. The lady we have is a total... well.... bitch. She doesn't know how to teach and I'm wondering why the hell they even hired her. Because of her, I've lost all understanding that I've had on design. I don't understand it one bit now because of the way she's tried to teach us. BITCH RUINED IT. D<

So I've decided to tell this program to shove it and go into something I'll truly enjoy, getting my hands covered in my art medium.. instead of my open workshop on a computer screen. Also, in MY OPINION, I don't feel that computer graphics are truly art. You can't touch it, feel the different grooves the paint makes on your canvas. You can blend colors with your fingers. It's just not my opinion of what art should look and feel like. I love paintings, drawings, pottery, everything in the fine arts category, minus the computer aspects. Computers just aren't my fortee.... a canvas and brush or paper and pencil are.

So that's been my life as of late. A lot more has been going on, but I'm in class and "trying" to pay attention so I don't really have the time to tell you all. Lol... you all... I make it sound like I have tons of watchers. xDD I amuse myself.

Oh, and trying to make corrections to your FAFSA is a pain in the ass!!! It took me at least an hour on the phone yesterday to figure out why I kept getting an error message and to change certain information. The first guy I talked to tried to give me the number to the Department of Education and he ended up giving me a number to a sex talk line. xD It was VERY funny....

Just a little rant I've had on my mind the past weekend, mainly due to some rather.... annoying hype a series of books is getting.

I've recently come to love the Twilight book series. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I jumped on a fucking band wagon that disgusts me, actually. I can't stand all the little fangirls who run around, all bubbly over Edward Cullen because "HE'S THE HOTTEST VAMPIRE EVAR!!1!ONE!" ..... Seriously? He's a fictional character brought to life for the mere purpose of a movie. Just shut the hell up! I'll admit, the things he's said to Bella have made my heart throb and long for my boyfriend to say things like that. But for christ's sake, I'm not going to try and force a visual of Edward upon him in my own mind. My point to that was to say, Edward Cullen isn't real. Get over your little book heart throb and find a real person who can love you. And he's not the hottest vampire in fictional book history.... I mean, look at Armand from the Anne Rice The Vampire Chronicle novels, or Lestat. Now those.. those are some vampires I'd like to sink my teeth into. Ruthless, blood thirsty, human hating babes. LOL ((Mind you, I love Anne Rice novels far more than anything else. Her vocabulary and way she can write a story amaze me. Though I think she's insane... o.o; ))

The one annoying huge thing that bothers me most about Twilight is all the bad rep it's getting as well. I don't care if you hate the book, to each his own, but don't you dare try and tear me down for loving a book just because you don't. A lot of people I've noticed don't like the series. That's cool. I'm sure you like other books. It's true that the Twilight books read like a sappy fanfic sometimes, I'll admit that. But I'm still enjoying a "new" story, and the thrill of having a book in my hands I can't put down. I've tried reading other books about vampires before, but I've grown bored of the traditional vampire "coffin, no sunlight, ravenous bloodlust". I enjoy the Twilight vampire, diamond sparkly skin in the sunshine and all.

All I'm really trying to say is, I like Twilight even if some of you don't, and that's cool with me. I'm sure I'd still like you as a person. ^_^; And if your a stupid fangirl obsessed with Edward Cullen, please, for the sake of the sane ones of us who read the book, SHUT THE FUCK UP. D<

I'll be getting the beginning of my sleeve colored next month! Look for pictures! My new artist is REALLY looking forward to starting on it. He wants to make it beautiful, unlike it is now. It's really ugly right now. -_-;;

So... on the 23rd of August, I got the start of my sleeve done. "Yippie! I'm finally starting on my sleeve", I thought... Well, I thought wrong.

The line work my "artist" did sucks so horribly. I mean... It looks like he didn't even know where the needle ended on some parts, or how deep he was going into my arm. Because some lines are fat, and some are thin.

I'm SEVERELY disappointed with how this has turned out. He's screwed up shit on my wings too. And I spent a grand on those things. I expect them to be a god damn masterpiece.

I'm switching artists now. I'm sick of being constantly disappointed with the tattoo work I'm getting for my money.

... I mean... I'm so ashamed of this line work I'm not even putting up a picture of it till I get some coloring done by my new artist. He'll fix it.
